The Oxford Script Awards is an IMDb-qualifying competition ranked among the Top 30 Most Popular Festivals in the United Kingdom and Top 100 Best Reviewed globally. Built specifically to connect screenwriters with UK industry professionals, the Oxford Script Awards operates a specialized marketing portal through which selected scripts are actively promoted to producers and directors seeking the next generation of independent talent.

The competition's jury is composed of renowned screenwriters, producers, and directors with credits in prestigious competitions including the Academy Nicholl Fellowships, the Austin Film Festival, the Final Draft Big Break Screenwriting Contest, and the Script Pipeline Screenwriting Competition.

Official Selection at the Oxford Script Awards represents recognition by one of the United Kingdom's most respected script competition juries — a significant international validation for Mr. Jack ahead of its festival campaign.

Mr. Jack is an independent drama written and directed by Mick Lexington, set in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The film tells the story of a failed painter who returns to New York to reclaim his life and the woman he left behind — only to be drawn into the orbit of a charismatic, self-destructive artist whose world will cost them both everything.

Mr. Jack is currently in pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to begin in New York City. Post-production will be completed in partnership with Twickenham Film Studios, UK.
