Filmmatic Drama Screenplay Awards — Quarter-Finalist

Social Ammunition Films is proud to announce that the screenplay for Mr. Jack has been named a Quarter-Finalist at the Filmmatic Drama Screenplay Awards in the Feature Length Drama category. The Filmmatic Screenplay Awards were established to identify and champion emerging screenwriting talent, providing a direct pathway into the mainstream film industry. With strong ties to the independent film community — including an annual networking presence at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah — Filmmatic is a recognized platform for serious dramatic writing.

A Quarter-Finalist designation in the Feature Length Drama category is a competitive achievement in one of the industry's most respected screenplay competitions, placing Mr. Jack among the top tier of dramatic screenplays submitted from around the world.

Mr. Jack is an independent drama written and directed by Mick Lexington, set in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The film tells the story of a failed painter who returns to New York to reclaim his life and the woman he left behind — only to be drawn into the orbit of a charismatic, self-destructive artist whose world will cost them both everything.

Mr. Jack is currently in pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to begin in New York City. Post-production will be completed in partnership with Twickenham Film Studios, UK.
