Berlin Indie Spotlight Film Festival — Official Selection

Social Ammunition Films is proud to announce that the screenplay for Mr. Jack has been named an Official Selection at the Berlin Indie Spotlight Film Festival in the Best Original Screenplay category. The Berlin Indie Spotlight Film Festival stands as one of European independent cinema's most respected platforms, founded by a dedicated team of filmmakers and film critics with a jury comprising film scholars, filmmakers, and critics from across the globe.

Hosted at the Bisou Eventspace in Berlin, Germany, the festival celebrates the transformative power of independent cinema and its capacity to challenge perceptions and inspire new generations of storytellers.

Official Selection at the Berlin Indie Spotlight places Mr. Jack on an international stage, recognized by a distinguished European jury alongside submissions from filmmakers worldwide.

Mr. Jack is an independent drama written and directed by Mick Lexington, set in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The film tells the story of a failed painter who returns to New York to reclaim his life and the woman he left behind — only to be drawn into the orbit of a charismatic, self-destructive artist whose world will cost them both everything.

Mr. Jack is currently in pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to begin in New York City. Post-production will be completed in partnership with Twickenham Film Studios, UK.
