New York True Venture Film Festival — Finalist

Social Ammunition Films is proud to announce that the screenplay for Mr. Jack has been named a Finalist at the New York True Venture Film Festival (NYTVFF) in the Best Feature Screenplay category. The New York True Venture Film Festival is an IMDb Award Listing Qualifier based in New York City, dedicated to empowering independent filmmaking and showcasing exceptional creative talent. NYTVFF provides a platform for innovative storytellers, connecting independent creators with audiences who appreciate bold and original work.

A Finalist designation at NYTVFF represents recognition by a jury committed to the highest standards of independent cinema — in the very city where Mr. Jack is set and being filmed.

Mr. Jack is an independent drama written and directed by Mick Lexington, set in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The film tells the story of a failed painter who returns to New York to reclaim his life and the woman he left behind — only to be drawn into the orbit of a charismatic, self-destructive artist whose world will cost them both everything.

Mr. Jack is currently in pre-production, with principal photography scheduled to begin in New York City. Post-production will be completed in partnership with Twickenham Film Studios, UK.
